Chuck Parello
Chuck Parello is a Chicago-born writer-director whose films explore the darkest corners of real-life crime. He made his directing debut with Henry: Portrait of a Serial Killer, Part 2, which critics hailed as a worthy sequel to John McNaughton’s cult classic. His follow-up, Ed Gein, won Best Picture and Best Actor at the Sitges International Film Festival, with Steve Railsback and Carrie Snodgress drawing praise for their haunting performances. Parello then wrote and directed The Hillside Strangler, starring C. Thomas Howell and Nicholas Turturro, which critics called subversive, stylish and darkly comic. Most recently, he wrote director Chad Ferrin’s thriller Sunset Strip Killers and wrote and directed Let Her In, both drawn from real cases.
