ABOUT
OUR FESTIVAL
OHFF is an international competition dedicated to horror, dark genre cinema
and bold independent storytelling, celebrating distinctive visions and
creative excellence.
A FESTIVAL FOR HORROR & FANTASTIC CINEMA
Outronox Horror Film Festival celebrates filmmakers and artists
working across horror and dark genre storytelling.
Our aim is to create a focused international competition where
independent voices, unusual visions and distinctive creative work
can be discovered, evaluated and promoted.
From feature films and shorts to trailers, original posters and
music scores, Outronox welcomes different forms of genre expression
while keeping a clear identity rooted in horror.
THE OUTRONOX ECOSYSTEM
Outronox Horror Film Festival is part of a wider independent
platform dedicated to horror, extreme cinema and dark genre culture.
The Outronox ecosystem brings together genre labels including
TetroVideo and Goredrome Pictures, alongside
Outronox Play, the digital platform dedicated
to independent, underground and alternative cinema.
This connection with film distribution, physical publishing,
digital exhibition and genre media gives the festival a broader
perspective on independent filmmaking and allows Outronox to
operate beyond the traditional boundaries of a film competition.
The people behind Outronox also bring previous experience in
independent festival organization through projects including
The Optical Theatre Film Festival and
DarkVeins Horror Fest.
Over the years, these events brought together filmmakers,
distributors, critics and personalities from international genre
cinema, with jury members including
Frank LaLoggia,
Antonio Tentori,
Stephen Biro and
Federico Frusciante.
That background forms the foundation of Outronox Horror Film
Festival: a new international competition built on years of direct
involvement with independent horror cinema, its filmmakers,
its media and its audience.
